Will my iphone 6 ever recover from torrential rain? No life but also no water damage indicator.

My iphone 6 got rained on and stopped working but the red indicator for water damage is not coming on. The rain was fairly torrential... on Saturday. I had to use my phone to make a call. Worked fine. Then next time I looked at it - once I was indoors - it was just black and wouldn't switch on. I took out the SIM and left it to dry, and tried rice for 24 hours. Still nothing. The battery was fully charged.

Let's be real here. The chances of your iPhone operating normally are slim. Period. Having said that, make preparations to get it replaced.
