Default How do I connect 2 monitors (not Apple) to my Macbook Air 2015?

I have Macbook Air 13"// 2015 model running El Cap. I want to attach 2 monitors to run as the only 2 displays when the machine is docked. Can is daisy chain 2 monitors with Mini Display ports to the Thunderbolt on the Air? Apple displays are beautiful- but I do not need that much monitor so do not need to spend that much when a Dell will do for my purposes. How do I get 2 monitors (running as different displays- not mirrored) to run from my Air?

Sorry if this is basic- just jumped the fence from PC and still learning.
