Why do events on FB look so much different for me on mac than on PC's?

I get date and location, they get clickable links for more information about the event, a place to invite others

Probably this is more a function of the browsers you are using than the computers. Safari probably works the same on PC and Mac, as does Chrome, these are my browsers of choice. IE or Edge might not work as well for you on PC. I generally prefer Chrome for most things because it remembers what I was doing from device to device and it is VERY cross compatible. (although I DO use Safari also)

PS I use Photon for some things too.
