hi i 1.5gb of photos in my photo library. how can i move that to the icloud

Welcome to iMore! Go to Settings > iCloud > Photos, and enable iCloud Photo Library. Keep in mind this will not physically remove your photos from your device but will act as a backup for what is on your device. If you check "Optimize iPhone Storage" full resolution photos will be stored in iCloud with low res versions on your device. It should free up some local storage for you.
