Dropox wifi backup photos automatically?

On my android device, photos will continue to upload to dropbox via wifi whether my screen is on or not. My wife has an iphone and is there a way to have dropbox continue to backup photos to dropbox even after the screen is turned off?

Go to settings then scroll all the way down to Dropbox. Open and see if there is an option for background app refresh. OneDrive has this option, but I don't use DropBox.

I believe this may be the option you're looking for. I've been using dropbox for years on iPhones and haven't had an issue.
