I need help with my iPad.

My iPad keeps going back to home page in the middle of what I'm doing. I lose everything. What to do? Can anyone help me with my problem? I appreciate any help I can get. I have an iPad Air 2.

Welcome to iMore! Does this happen with a particular app or all apps? Reset your device by holding the power button and home button down simultaneously until you see the Apple boot logo.
If the issue is related to a particular app, delete and re-install the app.
If all else fails, it may be necessary to restore your iPad. I recommend setting it up as a new device. More info here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204686. If restoring doesn't help then it's probably hardware related. Take your iPad into an Apple Store or contact Apple Support.
