iPhone 6s didn't say delivered then went through as a text. Why?

When I iMessage my husband from my iPhone it always goes through blue but this time it didn't say delivered then went through as green text. Everyone else that's iMessages him always go through as green as well even though mine are almost always blue. Why would that be?

SMS messages (green messages) do not support the "Delivered" feature.

iMessages (blue messages) do support the "Delivered" feature.

Make sure that your recipients have an iPhone, have iMessage enabled, and both of you have a data connection while the message is being sent.
