Phone lights up showing wallpaper on its own about every 30 seconds how do I stop it

Turns itself on every 30 seconds and shows opening wallpaper

Welcome to iMore! I never heard of that happening. Could you have an alert set for every 30 seconds? Have you tried a hard reset?
Hold the top or side power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.

Next would be try Reset All Settings.
Reset All Settings
Go to Settings >General >Reset >Reset All Settings. This resets to default everything in Settings, including notifications, alerts, brightness, and clock settings like wake up alarms.

If it still does it, you may need to restore your device as new. Not from a back up.
