My iPhone 5 Isn't turning on neither Getting charged

My iPhone 5 is not starting . Firstly the touch stopped working. And when the battery went dead , now the phone is not getting charged at all.

Please, just one thread.
How long did you leave it on the charger? My old 5 takes an hour just to start showing if it's run all the way down.
That phone is old now and the battery probably needs replacing.

Might want to have Apple run a diagnostic on it. See if its worth a repair OR if you are better off replacing it with a newer model.
