Why isnt my iphone 6 ringing or making any sound?

The mute button is not off! Have also checked controls and do not disturb isn't off either. Suddenly phone only vibrates and doesn't make any noise for any notification.

Then turn it off! If the mute switch is enabled then you will not hear any alerts.

Turn OFF the Do Not Disturb option and press the up volume buttons to increase the sound volume.
