How do you create a ringtone from a song you downloaded on your iphone?]

I downloaded some songs a long time ago and had created ringtones from them. I had a iphone 3?, but now have rec'd a hand me down iphone 5S, and no longer have those ringtones anywhere. I want to purchase the songs again and recreate those ringtones.
