How do I fix my memory on my IPad mini 2

I have a 16 GB iPad mini 2 I've used 10 GB and it's saying I only have 2GB left

Go to Settings, General, then Storage, you can view how much space apps are using. Check this first and see if anything is out of the ordinary here.

To make more storage available, move photos to cloud based apps like Box and Dropbox. Then delete from the camera roll. Delete messages in the messages app. Especially photos and videos. Delete app cache where you can. Delete the photos in the "Recently deleted" album. Delete unused apps. Hope this helps.

Some of the storage is taken up by the operating system. But, you should still have more storage.
