Why can't I backup my apps to my PC

I want to backup a copy of an app from my ipad to my PC running Windows 7. I tried with itunes and got nothing. What should I do?

You could try rebooting your computer. Make sure you are using the most current version of iTunes. Try a hard reset on your iPad by holding the power & Home button at the same time till you see the Apple logo. Make sure you are running the most current iOS on your iPad. Just some suggestions for you to try.
