How do I adjust the CNN app's notification "types"?

My CNN app basically only notifies me about news related to politics. I was wondering if there's anything I could do to adjust it so that I could receive alerts about other stuff too.

Does the app have a "settings" option in the app itself? Or is it in the Settings app? Try those places...

I know that one of our local news stations lets us select what kind of info we want. I logged in to their webpage, and selected my choices. I then signed into their app on my phone, and have been getting the notifications I want!
