Calendar alerts

Why can you not have a second alert on the calendar app like you used to do? Anyone know of a fix?

The second alert option is still available via the native Calendar app. At least it is on my iPhone 6S Plus running iOS 9.3 beta 6.

If you create the event, you get the 2nd alert. If someone else created the event and shared it with you, then you only get one alert.
If you want a 2nd alert, you can create a second event and set 2 more alerts to go with the one in the shared event.
