As far as having a refund issued by Apple, you can always contact Apple Support but I don't know if you'll have any luck.

When it first came out, there were articles about turning off auto renewal at the start so after your initial trial you didn't get charged if you didn't want. The link @devilishbanker posted should solve your issue!
