How can I transfer music from my iPad to my new laptop/iTunes?

I damaged my laptop and have now had to purchase a new one and download iTunes.

All my music is on my iPad. How can I sync my iPad to my new laptop without losing anything?

I'm concerned that when I connect, it will sync but wipe the iPad, rather than upload my music to the new iTunes.

Please help!

Just go to the purchased section of iTunes on your new laptop and re-download your purchased content.
