Is there a trick to restting iphone5s?

It went dead and doesn't turn on, even when lug in. is there a trick to resetting? I.E holding buttons in sequence or something like that? seems dead at moment

Welcome to iMore! It's most likely your battery. My old iPhone 5 has a bad battery. It went way dead, and it took 1 hour on the charger just for it to come on. When you plug it in, do you see the battery icon on the lock screen? If not, it may be completely dead. You would need a new battery. We're seeing more and more battery issues with the 5/5s phones now.
