the music tab on my iphone comes up that says music but does not give me any other options

Can't get to the music I have saved on my iphone!

At the bottom right corner, you should see "My Music". Tap on it. If that option isn't available, close the app and then remove it from the list of recently used app. Afterwards, restart the app and try again.
