ipad can't detect wifi

My iPad can't detect and connect to my wireless network. Other devices were able to connect to it so I decided to do the following:
1. Changed WiFi Password - no go
2. Changed security encryption to WEP/WPA/WPA2/WPA+WPA2 - no go
3. Removed the wireless password entirely - no go
4. Changed SSID - no go
5. Power cycled both the router and my iPad - no
6. Reset the router and redid steps 1-4 - no go
7. Reset settings on the iPad - no go

During these attempts, all other devices (ps4, mobile phones, 2 android tablets, 3 laptops) are able to detect and connect to my wireless network so I'm absolutely sure it's my iPad. However when I went at our local restaurant the bloody thing was able to connect to the resto's wifi so I'm not sure where to go from here. Help? The router only broadcasts 2.4ghz and the ipad in question was previously able to connect to it.

Re: ipad can't detect wifi

1. Reset the network Settings on your iPad.
2. Forget the Wi-Fi network in the Wi-Fi settings on your iPad.
3. Reboot your iPad
4. Try to connect to your Wi-Fi network.

As a last resort, put the iPad in recovery mode and then restore it via iTunes and set it up as new afterwards.

I have got exactly the same problem! I have done all the things suggested and spent half an hour on the phone checking router and settings, and just updated to IOS 9.2 but no joy. Has anyone got any other suggestions?
