How can I check that everything on my iPad is backed up to the iCloud?

I'm getting a new iPad and want to make sure everything is backed up onto the iCloud so I can transfer it

go to Settings > Storage & iCloud Usage > Manage Storage (in the iCloud section) > Tap the iPad you want to verify > scroll through the list and make sure everything is turned on. If you are using iCloud Photo Library then Camera Roll won't show up because those items are synced separately.

Alternatively, you can connect to a computer with iTunes installed and do an encrypted backup from there.
