How can I get back my dwindling iCloud Storage capacity?

So thing is, I never backup-ed my phone to iCloud, however, it continues to take up a large percentage of my storage, and when i open the "Manage Storage" tab, it doesnt appear as back up (like the only reason i know its a backup is because of the icloud.com website) what can I do to get back my storage capacity?

Re: iCloud Storage help needed

Go to Settings → General → Storage & iCloud Usage and then select "Manage Storage" under the iCloud section. The items therein will be the items that are taking up your iCloud storage space. Delete what is not wanted or needed.
