Ok, so am in messages and wsnt to send a txt, but when i click + button shows To: field which I enter number (its for signing up for txt alerts), but after entering it in, it wont give me field to enter message?? Just shows list of names of people i dont know????

Followed steps, and when i add a number, where is the SMS icon i click to allow me to add message? As said earlier, after i enter number nothing else comes up etc

Its like it wont allow a number that's not a phone number, unlike normal messaging. I want to sign up for coupon alerts with JoAnn, and txt "crafts" to [redacted]. But it won't let me
