Old iphone 5 that i want to give to a friends kid. But i have zero memory of want the id or pass is, or email address is. How can this be done?

If the device is NOT protected with the iCloud Activation Lock, then all you have to do is out the device in DFU or Recovery mode and select Restore via iTunes. If the device is protected with the iCloud Activation Lock, you will have to recall the associated Apple ID and Passcode in order to reset it. If not, nothing can be done about it.
