I did an upgrade on phone cannot get the health app to work

The new health app is on phone but it doesn't keep track of steps like it says it will how do you make the app work

The app should work automatically. I assume you have your phone or Watch with you while you're stepping. If not, no steps will be detected.

What phone are you using? For it to count steps you need a 5s or later as it has the right hardware to track them.
