Why does my husband's iPhone get my calls and texts?

My iPhone rings then my husband gets the same call. It the same with texts. I reset both of our phones thinking that would work and I actually thought it did but today I found out it didn't. I don't get his calls or texts.

Are you and your husband signed into the same iCloud account on your phones? I'm thinking that could be the reason.

Welcome to iMore! Do you share Apple IDs? You probably are and you probably have handoff enabled. The easiest resolution would be for him to set up his own Apple ID and then set up Family Sharing so you both have access to purchased apps and media.

Or if it's just the two of you, you can just share the same iTunes ID and have separate iCloud, iMessage and Facetime ID's. That way you can share purchases and keep everything else separate.
