My iPad will not scroll down or to the side. How do I fix this?

Only today my iPad has stopped letting me scroll. I can eventually move to the home page, but that is all. Eg: I get new messages on Facebook but can only see the top two images, and can't scroll down.
Can anyone suggest a solution?

Have you tried restarting your device? If that does not work, you probably need to have it looked at.
