Word suggestions when texting

What settings do I need to get word suggestions when texting?

I have an iPhone 6.

Are you using the stock keyboard? Make sure it's enabled in Settings > General > Keyboards > Predictive. If you still can't see the predictive texting bar, try dragging up from the top of the keyboard. It may just be hidden.
