Iphone 5s locked and in airplane mode dfu help

So i have iphone 5s running ios 8 and its locked with touch id and passcode i dont have either of them and it wont enter dfu mode for some reason with the buttons tutorial. I dont know how to reset it so please help

It's locked with Touch ID, but you don't have it? If dfu doesn't work, there is no way around it.

Is it safe to assume the iPhone 5S is not yours since you've stated that you don't have the passcode and your fingerprint doesn't work via Touch ID? Even if you put the device in DFU mode, if the iCloud activation lock is enabled, and if you do not know it, you will still be unable to use it.
