Will an iPhone on a Japanese network work here in the UK?

Hi guys I have a iPhone 5 on Japan network I'm getting signal here in the United Kingdom but I can't activate it. If I got sim to activate it would my iPhone work here thanks

Yes, if you were to establish service and get a SIM from a OK provider, it would work.
