How to get files(mainly audio mp3's) onto iPhone & iOS?

I'm debating coming back to iPhone/iOS from Android because of the 6s Plus new features. I'm reluctant because of the way I'm able to get my files off & on my Samsung Note 3. That was one of the main reasons I left iOS in the first place. I use Google Drive a lot to send and receive my rehearsal mp3's on my Android phone. I can easily see and move them in File Explorer to the appropriate music player(sometimes stock/sometimes DoubleTwist). I hated the old sync it to iTunes method that would only work half the time.
