Siri has taken control of my iPad. How do I revert to normal control?

How about you ask Siri nicely to let you open your iPad!?

Jokes aside, if you have an iPad with touch ID remember you just have to place your finger there (not actually press it) or try sliding to open it with the passcode. Or just try turning off and on your device.

I'm curious as to how you got to that point.
