What happened to the weather app "degrees"?

Mine stopped working as well. I have contacted the developer 3 times with no reply. I decided I'd delete and reinstall to see if that fixed it but then discovered the app has been pulled from the appstore. Its disappointing because it was the best weather app I'd found. I paid for the pro version and now its pulled. I emailed apple and asked what there stance was on developers who charger for an app that provides and service and then pull the app, thereby no longer providing the service. Should a refund not be issued? I paid for a service thats no longer being provided by the developer.

Same thing occurred to the Degrees weather app on my and my wide's iPhones and IPads. A banner saying Network error would briefly pop up. This was the second time this occurred. The app was easy to use and more accurate than other apps for our area at least that I re-purchased it. Now it occurred again about 2 months ago. Anyone know what is going on?
