When my iPhone updated it asked for a password, I created one, how do I get rid of it?

I want to get rid of the password, I don't like having to put the password in to look at the weather. I don't have anything on the phone that needs a password for security. I'm not sure what model I have, I've had it about a year.

Settings then Touch ID and password. Turn off password

If it is current model and allows it tp be update to IOS 9 - it has the ability to pull doen your Notification/Today screen from your lock screen to look at weather - No need to put in Password but now you can keep it for other security on the device.
