Sending text message , Can't see what I typed to someome. Can start new text and see it but when I repy to someone can't see what I typed. Gray line with timer numbers in space

First of all what device do you have? and what iOS?
Now independent of that, try (if you haven't yet) restarting your phone, you'll be amazed as to how many times that simple step, fixes issues.
