Make sure you're using the right AppleID and password.

1: make sure you are entering the username and password correctly
2: (if you are on phone) are you on latest ios?
3: (on phone) in settings -> icloud, log out and back in
4: on apple account, do you have 2 factor auth on? If on, try turning it off. Then hopefully the next time you get the prompt perhaps it will accept it. Then turn 2 factor back on following instructions on how/when you need app specific passwords.
