Using an iPhone with Linux?

Long-time Android user here thinking about making the jump.

Does anyone here use Linux as their main computer? I'm currently running Linux Mint on my home PC and wondering what the obstacles are. I know I can run iTunes with Wine but I've heard it's not very reliable.

You no longer need iTunes on a PC for the iPhone. You can do everything from the device including backups.
