I'm considering purchasing the iMac 27 or 27-5K for use with my photography. Are iMac users familiar with the iPhoto that comes with the iMacs or will I still need to get the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom?

I'm considering purchasing the iMac 27 or 27-5K for use with my photography. Are iMac users familiar with the iPhoto that comes with the iMacs or will I still need to get the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom?

iPhoto is being replaced with Photos, which does not have much in the way of photo editing "chops". I'd consider something like Photoshop Elements at the bare minimum, and for professional photogs, would heartily recommend the full CC suite.
