Why is my touch screen on iPhone 5 non-responsive?

It's periodic since I updated it. Never happened prior to update. Frustrating because it's my business phone.

Try hooking it up to the latest version of iTunes, Do a manual backup and with it still plugged into iTunes, Try a complete restore in DFU mode and after completion restore from your backup.

You can have the fallowing tries:
1. Long press the home key and then use the voice control to play music. Try to play music and the screen will response again.
2. Waiting for the phone have no power the shutdown, then charge and restart the phone.
3. Connect to iTunes and update to the latest IOS.
