App Store card from Mexican$ to American$

My friend wants to buy me an App Store card but they live in Mexico, my apple account is American so I was wondering if I entered the card code into my American account if the Mexican money would convert to the equal value in American.

I don't think you can use a card from a different country.

Don't know if this would work but try changing the store to Mexican store then activating the gift card and then changing bak to American store
