Is there a way to forward an SMS to iMessage for one user only.?

Is there a way to forward an SMS to iMessage for one user only. I want to continue receiving SMS from other contacts, but want to forward texts from one specific user to my iPhone without it routing through my cell phone provider. Is there a way to do this without using an additional app? Can this be done by using my MAC?

It may be possible for the SMS message to transfer to being an iMessage when forwarding it to a compatible iOS or Mac device, but I can't say for certain. Give it a try and see.

If you're getting text message from that one select user on your phone and they don't have in iPhone, or do have an iPhone and are NOT using iMessage - then they are coming to you via carrier SMS messaging... forwarding via another means to avoid carrier SMS is kind of pointless since that's how it comes in...
