What is "Notes on My iPhone "? Will it get backed up anywhere?

I

iMore Question

I have accounts in my Notes titled Exchange, Gmail and Notes on my iPhone. I have closed my Exchange email account and want to delete it from my phone but there are a lot of important Notes attached to that account that will be deleted. I have set up an Outlook account, but it doesn't seem to have a function for Notes. If I copy all my Notes to Notes on My iPhone, will they get backed up? Where?

They should get backed up if you opt to backup your iPhone either via iCloud or via iTunes. Still, if there's a way to export your Exchange notes via the Microsoft Website or however you access them online or via a computer then I would definitely export them to your computer or to an external drive or something, just in case.

I've found it best to turn off email accounts for Notes in Settings. Just toggle Notes on in iCloud. You'll avoid a lot of confusion that way.
