My screen flips back to home screen or other screens while I am working and causes me to loose what I was working on.

I don't know. Are you running an iOS beta version on your iPad? Are you accidentally tapping the home button? Are you low on memory or have a weak wireless signal? It's possible that you may need to restore your device and set it up as new.

Are you saying an application is crashing? Make sure you have the latest version of the app. You could also uninstall and reinstall the app.
