How do I switch back to iOS / Mac photos app from Google Photos?

I put all of my photos within Google Photos. I trashed the iOS photos that were already backed up on Google servers to save room on my iPhone..... I want to revert back to using iCloud photos and the photos app on Mac and iPhone.... What is the best way to get all of my photos / videos off of Google Photos and back into iOS / Mac photos?

Download them to your Mac, add pictures to Photos, and then enable iCloud Photo Library.
