Why is sound only coming from the left earpiece of my iPhone headphones?

when I went to use it sound only came from the left ear piece
I phone 6+

Maybe they are damaged. Did you try another pair of headphones?

Take them to apple, they'll replace them if u have the warranty. I shorted a pair out at the gym, they replaced them no questions asked.

ok I had a gray moment I didn't push the plug all way in. sorry I wasted this space but thank you all for trying to help
