Why is my iphone 6 always searching

My new IPhone 6Plus keeps endlessly searching devices in when Bluetooth is on - How can I stop it?

I think it's supposed to search for devices. But it's only when you have it enabled with no history of pairing. If you have paired a device, it will be listed there and just below that a wheel spins to search for any other device. That's normal. If you're not using Bluetooth and don't have it paired, just toggle it off.


If it doesn't search, how will it know when you put your headphones on?
