I installed SwiftKey, and it's great--but often the built-in keyboard will show up instead. I can get back to SwiftKey by clicking on the globe and then the letters, but why do I have to keep doing that?

It's supposed to switch when you enter passwords and security related stuff. Apple made it that way for your security. I don't have any issues with mine. I use SwiftKey as my default keyboard. Actually, I'm using the beta. I use three 3rd party keyboards.

I had that problem when 3rd party keyboard support first came out. I uninstalled and then reinstalled Swiftkey and it helped. Good luck!

Change the order of the keyboards, that will help. Go to General>Keyboard>Keyboards>Edit and drag to the top swiftkey with the 3 lines on the rights.
