Why can't I set an alarm on my iPhone 5C?

when i hit + to add time, edit doesn't show. instead cancel shows up

Try a hard reset.
Hold the top power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.

If that doesn't work, let us know. Be sure you set it right. Pick a sound or song to use.

Once you hit the + edit doesn't show up because you're not editing anything, you're adding. Cancel shows in its place but in the upper right corner you should see save
