How do I retrieve the "Local" game save?

I have a game called "Hollywood U" on my ipad, and it was connected to game center. I also had a different game file on my iphone, but I deleted it after about a day. So I update my ipad to ios 8, and I go back to Hollywood U. It tells me I have two save files for game center- link, and local. I accidentally tapped link, and it retrieved my iphone game data, instead of the game data I had on my ipad. Now, when I delete and reinstall the app, it doesn't give me the option between link and local anymore. Is there anyway to retrieve the local game save file?
