Can I use keychain to save and auto fill for iPhone and iPad apps?

I'm using keychain when I log in to sites on Safari, and it works well, but when I have to log in to an app on my phone or iPad I've never gotten the prompt to save and auto fill. Is there a way to use keychain for the app logins? Thanks.
